Pelvic girdle misalignment is a common problem when the complaint is back pain or neck tightness. This is a very manageable issue. I was once sent to Costa Rica to help a friend of a client presenting with what looked like a back pain problem. He had four bulging discs and had been laid up for 3 months prior to my visit. He was 64 years old and when my client asked me to help his friend, he said, “I want you to get him well enough to get on a plane to come to the US for back surgery.” I started laughing and said, “Just so you know I’m going to get him well. He won’t need back surgery.” My client said, “You can do that?” I said, “Yes.” I knew because I had done it before. He then asked how long it would take and I said. “Five days.” I left Costa Rica after five days of treatment for my new client and he reported that he was back to surfing 2 weeks later.
The process of setting the pelvic girdle can be done many ways using reflexology. The easiest way is to use a pencil eraser moving down the soft grooves on either side of the middle of the thumbs under the thumbnail down to the bottom of the joint. Follow around the joint bottom to the palm side going up through soft tissue rounding the top of the joint. Any soreness that presents to your awareness can be worked out gently with the eraser. Keep going over to the sides of the thumb and up to the tip. Do the same procedure on both sides and both thumbs. After working out all soreness your pelvic girdle should move into alignment greatly reducing any back pain. This is just one way to set your pelvic girdle and I will share more examples through other blogs.
