I’m So Uncomfortable…

Few things in life are able to make people uncomfortable enough to withdraw out of complete desperation, but, bowel problems can do it for sure! Loose bowels have a person leashed to the closest bathroom while constipation is painful, time consuming, causes mobility issues, brain fog, sluggish thoughts, and an unwillingness to be connected with others. It also slows the absorption of nutrients needed for health and fitness.

I’m reminded of a 3 year old client who was brought for treatment by his mother who was referred by her friend. The boy had been constipated from when he was introduced to solid foods at around 6 months of age. They were beyond exasperated. The mother went through a huge list of doctors, drugs, treatments, stimulants and everything they had been told would help. All had left them in the same place and they wanted real help.

Considering the age of the boy, I asked the mother to be the surrogate for him, meaning that she would receive the treatment on her body while holding her son. They were agreeable so I performed the treatment on her starting with her right foot. I worked the small intestines reflex area moving into the ileocecal valve and up the ascending colon across the transverse colon and down the descending colon reflex areas which used both feet. I then worked the digestive valves reflexes starting with the esophageal valve to the stomach, then stomach to duodenum, duodenum to small intestines arriving at the ileocecal valve where the foot treatment started. The next step was hooking her forearms up to electrodes which was for stimulating the process of waking up the muscular expansion and contraction of the colon. They left with the instructions to keep me informed on how things were moving along. Mama was excited to report that he went on his own, easily that next morning. It was the same day two. On day three the constipation seemed to be happening again… I had them come in to repeat the treatment. I applied the reflexology treatment again using the mother as a surrogate which went fine until I wanted to use her arms for the electrodes and he was not having that! He forcefully pushed his arms out with hands fisted looking at me with determination in his eyes so I placed the electrodes on his forearms. The constipation was gone that easily after 3 years of struggle, never to return to my knowledge.
