A friend who worked in a high end spa was asked to try out a new product series for a facial. After receiving the facial, her face had a very bad and painful reaction. Since she worked at the spa, the therapists were doing their due diligence trying to reverse the skin irritation for a month or more with no success. I was visiting her area and after she explained what happened, I did a reflexology session for her, mostly using all her toes and fingertips. I just used light pressure for 30-40 min.
A couple of weeks later when we spoke, she said her spa wanted me to come and show them how I healed her face with such ease when they had done every treatment in their toolbox just to feel bad about their inability to help her following her bad reaction to the facial. Ah…sweet success! Truly as a Reflexologist, I just push the buttons and the receiver is the healer, so I congratulate her!
More recently, my grandson had a facial irritation which he has had periodically since birth. He is extremely fair skinned and not yet mobile so I thought I could increase the circulatory flow to his face helping him heal himself. I used light pressure on his fingers and toes very gently but thoroughly. I also gently massaged his earlobes for good measure. The red hot heat in his cheeks disappeared and the accompanying dry skin became much less noticeable the next day. These types of reactions are generally caused by toxins through food, products, or environment. Bringing blood flow directly into the area rinses the poison out of the body through the lymph/circulatory system. In the case of eczema, which involves more areas of congestion, treatment can be a little more involved.
