Few things in life are as uncomfortable and undesirable as acid reflux. Burning in the throat, acid taste in the mouth, gumline tooth decay, esophageal pressure…Who needs any of this? One root cause is digestive valves that are misaligned. If the valves don’t close properly, digestive juices move back and forth causing irritation to tissues. This condition is unpleasant during daytime hours and at night it does not encourage peaceful restorative sleep either.
Fortunately a spoon can be used as a perfect reflexology tool to retrain the digestive valves to open and close effectively alleviating the acidic struggles. The first valve is the esophageal which opens from the esophagus to the stomach. In the ball of the foot between the big toe and the next toe, follow the soft tissue down between the bones. Angle at 60° pressing into the tissue pointed toward the heel of the foot. You have located the irritated reflex when it becomes very uncomfortable. Hold it until you feel a release allowing it to release fully. From there follow around the curve of the joint then flip the spoon around and place it where the esophageal reflex released following the toe joint curve. This brings balance and peace to the esophageal valve.
The second valve is from the stomach to the duodenum and is close to the next valve going from the duodenum to the small intestines. At the inside edge of the foot under the big toe as the arch starts, search for sore reflexes. Angle the spoon at about 60° pointing down toward the heel. It may be slightly sore to more sore depending on the severity of your acid reflux. Hold until release is evident in both valve reflexes.
The last of the digestive valves is the ileocecal valve represented near the outside edge, bottom of the right foot. Use the spoon in the soft tissue near the end of the 5th metatarsal bone close to the heel. Search the area for any discomfort from the inside of the bone around the bone’s edge. Using the spoon angled perpendicular to the metatarsal bone, gently work into reflexes holding while discomfort subsides.
When using this method to be free of acid reflux, treat then wait. It often works the first time never needing to be repeated. If symptoms come back after a time of improvement, repeat the treatment, replicating it on both feet telling the body of a complete balance requirement. This certainly beats medicating as shown by a couple who worked in a carpet and upholstery cleaning business. He chose the meds and she chose to treat the base cause by treating the digestive valves. She was well in days and I’m not sure how long he stayed on meds. She said he had taken it for years and she wasn’t willing to do that. This digestive valve treatment has brought digestive peace to many clients over the years.
